not boasting or anything but i am the chairman of St. Andrews School P.A. team
my story...
While many in the school think that our P.A. team is a very 'slack' CCA, I beg to differ. We may appear as a stereotypical group of boys, playful at times but we are serious when it comes to work. We execute our duties when required with pried and enthusiasm. The bulk of our work comprises our everyday duties and training programmes. The experience of our training sessions will be deeply etched in because that is the time when we mingle with one another, getting to know one another better. Though we do have constant trainings held by the seniors, nothing can be compared to the trainings that we have, conducted by Shamir, an old boy of
St. Andrews School. Be it the juniors or seniors, we owe all our knowledge to this patient and encouraging leader to spur us on.
The recreational event that we will never forget would be our P.A. training camp held in 2005. During the camp, eternal friendships were forged through our activities like our own Amazing Race, Night Warfare and last but not least, our mini buffet at the end of it all. It might sound like all we had was just fun but we actually had some serious training and lectures.
As the chairman of the P.A. team, I feel very privileged and honoured to lead such a dedicated and hard-working team. Though frictions do occur among us, these clashes bind us closer together. Without the constant source of encouragement from Shamir, our current P.A. teacher Mrs. Julia Huang and not forgetting our ex-teacher, Mr. Chan You Meng, I dont think i will have the cofidence to lead the team on.
30 years down the road, i would like the P.A. team to be a professional and well-disciplined team. Though our P.A. team is small in number, we can definitely say that this CCA has brought many of us together and I think this is the most important factor of all.
